Did anyone follow up on those Mustang vented front rotors that were supposedly hub and rotor design? Thanks, Dan Jones A friend in Germany who has a couple of Panteras just turned me on to an outfit that is now selling what they claim are disc-only setups, from a different manufacturer.A If this is true, this is a quick path to vented rotors, and at a very reasonable cost.A The link is here: [1]http://www.ebay.com/itm/Brake-Rotors-2-Front-OE-FACTORY-REPL ACEMENT-DISC-BG09013-/271010038988

Well they are talking two pieces, rotors and hubs. At one time the Mustang's were made in two parts, more recently they are made as a single part (not always advertised that way) Larry - Cleveland -----Original Message----- From: DeTomaso [mailto:detomaso-bounces@server.detomasolist.com] On Behalf Of Julian Kift Sent: Wednesday, August 31, 2016 4:18 PM To: Mike Drew Cc: detomaso@server.detomasolist.com Subject: Re: [DeTomaso] Vented Front Rotors? Ah now I see, I thought you were talking two piece rotors and hats. Julian, Uh...what? We are talking about vented replacements for the stock solid rotors. They use the stock Pantera hubs. They don't have separate 'hats'. Unfortunately the Mustang parts industry has changed the model and now casts Mustang rotors integral with the mustang hub. Although they will bolt right up to a Pantera, the studs are part of the deal and they are different. You either need to run SAE front lug nuts, or else...well that's about the only solution. If you knock out the SAE studs and try to install stock metric Pantera studs you will discover they are a few thousandths smaller, and the studs will be free to spin when they should be a press fit. Years ago I was able to orchestrate a group buy of disc-only discs and they worked great. I could probably lay hands on a few more if there was sufficient interest.... Dan, Fwiw a friend of mine in Germany fell for it. He contacted them through eBay and had them confirm they were disc only. They said yes, he ordered and had them shipped directly to Germany. ( $$$$$ ) Opened the box and found the same standard made-in-China disc-and-hub combined setup. I THINK it was this same outfit. If you like, have him order a set to be sent to you (or me) to do quality control before they are sent overseas. It makes it simple and cheap to return them if they aren't as advertised. What you want btw is '65-67 Mustang front discs. Cheers!
